Blood Storage Temperature Monitoring (BlooM)

BlooM is an IoT system that allows continuous remote monitoring of the temperatures of refrigerators that are used for blood storage. The system has a custom design that can be used by the blood banks or hospitals and is capable of monitoring temperature values as low as -100 °C. The system comes with a customized online portal that provides secure access for the real-time monitoring of temperature data. The data is recorded over the cloud and can also be downloaded for offline processing.

Cold stores typically utilize ammonia-based chillers for cooling the food stock such as, fruits and vegetables. These chillers are manually operated by observing temperatures through analog temperature gauges.
